John Henry and the inky poo

The legendary John Henry is popular with country and blues type folk. A quick browse through my library found six songs based on the story, one recent addition by Justin Townes Earle (son of Steve, who I just found out played Walon in The Wire) from Midnight at the Movies which the monkey highly recommends.

But I’m rambling. Really I just wanted to link to this 1946 cartoon ‘John Henry and the Inky Poo’.

I noticed other copies of the film have been pulled from YouTube for the usual copyright bullshit, but hopefully this will stay up.
