Monster Monster - Auntie Ida, still looking good at 47 (million)

Seems paleontologists are getting excited about these well-preserved, 47,000,000 year old remains found near Frankfurt. It looks like a monkey but has opposable thumbs and fingers (with nails) like, well, us.

Reminds me of a question I’ve always had about evolution. Given, whenever there is any new development, humans and monkeys will first try to find some way of improving their self-loving, how did the evolutionary advance of opposable thumbs last.

Surely the first wee fella to find he could grip things, went straight into a wanking frenzy and never mated again. Just look at this poor thumbless wannabe wanker.
